Jammo –
Bought a set including this 1/4″ ZrN-coated helical mill. It’s sharp, evacuates chips perfectly, and has great tool life in 7075 aluminum. No built-up edge even without coolant. Turned my desktop CNC into a much more capable machine for firearm-related machining projects.
Dead Hands –
Excellent 1/4″ 3-flute high-helix carbide end mill for aluminum. Cuts like butter in 6061 with great chip evacuation – no clogging even on deep slots. Zero chatter at aggressive feeds and it stayed sharp after multiple 80% AR lowers on my Ghost Gunner. Highly recommend for hobby CNC work!

Fantastic for finishing passes. The 1/4″ high-helix design produces beautiful surface finishes on aluminum parts. Very rigid with almost no deflection. Paired it with a 3-flute rougher and the combo made short work of my latest Ghost Gunner project. Tool life exceeded expectations.

Impressed with how well this cuts aluminum without grabbing. Excellent chip breaking and evacuation thanks to the helical design. Ran dry on my mill and still got clean walls with very little burrs. Best $30–40 end mill I’ve used for hobbyist 80% receiver work.
